Ranked first in his bachelor’s degree class in Engineering from King Abdulaziz University, Ahmad's academic excellence laid a foundation for his stellar career. His pursuit of advanced leadership training at the prestigious University of Oxford's Executive Leadership Program further honed his capabilities, preparing him for the multifaceted challenges ahead.

As the Managing Director of the Chemicals, Oil & Gas sector at the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA), Ahmad had been at the helm of transformative initiatives. His strategic vision has been instrumental in driving Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) into Saudi Arabia's chemicals industry. Under his leadership, MISA successfully achieved a 40 billion SAR investment attraction target, a testament to his ability to foster international collaborations and localize procurement processes.

Ahmad’s negotiation skills are unparalleled, having led high-stakes discussions with global chemical giants like BASF, Shell, Mitsui, Dow, and Sinopec during royal external visits. His efforts have significantly bolstered the Kingdom's industrial landscape and positioned it as a competitive global player.

A frequent speaker and panelist at prestigious events and conferences around the world, Ahmad’s insights are highly sought after. His leadership was pivotal in the development of the National Industrial Strategy 2030, a comprehensive plan aimed at revolutionizing Saudi Arabia's manufacturing and chemicals sectors. Representing MISA, he has served on various steering committees alongside governmental institutions and industry champions like Aramco's localization program (IKTVA) and SABIC's Localization Council (Nusaned).

Ahmad’s career began with SABIC, where he undertook a variety of operational, commercial, and technological roles. His tenure spanned the technology licensing department, business units of acrylic acid, acrylate esters, methyl methacrylate, and natural detergent alcohols. Notably, he also had assignments at SABIC's joint ventures with Shell (SADAF) and ExxonMobil (Yanpet), where he honed his manufacturing acumen and technical expertise.
